The Warrior Group Unveiled
Episode 3 finished on a huge suspense moment and revealed the premier party of adventurers who will split off from the main group to begin their independent quest, separate from the other two tables.
The combat-focused team includes Teor Pridesire (portrayed by the voice actor), the agile character (Laura), the strong-willed figure (Whitney), Wicander (Sam Riegel), and the mysterious adventurer (Robbie Daymond).
The Reason for Division
Given an extensive roster, it was clear from the beginning that keeping everyone at one table would be unfeasible.
That’s why, the initial installments of this story serve as an Introduction, intertwining the characters’ stories before branching into three distinct groups: Warriors, Schemers, and Questers.
The Nature of the Warrior Group
According to the Dungeon Master, the warrior group is for participants who are drawn to a traditionally charged combat and conflict-driven gameplay experience where peaceful solutions are scarce.
At first glance, characters like the squeamish cleric Wicander Halovar might appear out of place, but the events of the third episode make it clear why these specific adventurers are best suited for the warrior group.
Why They Must Go
First, the team has a clear idea where to head next after a intense first encounter with the enemy group.
A former ally of the deceased character—whose demise initiated the story’s plot—manipulated the foes for his personal gain, breaking into Thjazi’s hideout, attacking the rogue, and taking all the magical artifacts to sell off.
Casimir then settled his debts and ran away to a secure base in the remote area, beyond Dol-Makjar, with Cyd hot on his heels.
Personal Motivations
Additionally, each character has a specific drive to leave the city Dol-Makjar:
- Thimble, as Thjazi’s partner and closest confidant, wants revenge.
- Kattigan knows the northern area and advises that it is a hostile place.
- The strong character and The cleric, having defied his relatives’ demands to kill the fighter and instead freed him, have nowhere else to go.
- Yet, their position as key figures in House Halovar could help the team reach locations they normally couldn’t.
- Furthermore, The fighter vowed a life debt to Wicander for his deliverance and will now follow him wherever.
Pursued by Authorities
Lastly, all of them are wanted by the powers that control Dol-Makjar for a range of causes, making staying in the city dangerous:
- The rogue and Kattigan are recognized lawbreakers.
- The strong figure and Wicander defied House Halovar and the army of fiends they are partnered with.
- Teor is marked for death by House Halovar.
This means them little choice but to head to Timmony in search of the traitor.
What’s Next?
According to the latest episode’s post-show segment, we discover that the Soldiers table won’t be around next week, leaving the remaining eight players to form the Questers and Planners tables.
Fans can look forward to learning which characters will be assigned to which table in the season’s final introductory chapter, streaming live on October 24.
